About Me
I was born in Bedfordshire and have always been interested in drawing from an early age. Inspired by my art master at school, I knew that above all I wanted to make art a full-time profession.
After art school and having qualified in both graphics and photography, I joined Vauxhall Motors as an apprentice in 1965 where I trained as a commercial artist working for the publicity and engineering design departments primarily. In 1981 I left the company to become freelance based at my studio in Flitwick.
I “retired” from graphic art in 2005 when computers had become more widely used in the profession and wanted to devote my time to painting and drawing in a more traditional way.
In 2019, I was elected as an Associate Member of the Guild of Railway Artists.
